Vic Richens The Butterfly Man of Mullumbimby41 viewsPaper mosaic. Vic Richens was in his late 80's and going blind when I first met him. Vic didn't let his age or failing eyesight stop him from raising awareness of the plight of Australian native butterflies. He issued every school in the Brunswick Valley with a kit of butterfly friendly plants and provided information for anyone who was interested. I helped Vic in a small way and was inspired to plant native butterfly friendly plants wherever I could. Vic passed away in 2006.
